Example: 325,000 Btu's/hour rating

Therms per hour = ( B x divided by 100,000)

Example: 325,000 Btu's divided by 100,000 = Therms per Hr
Example: 325,000 / 100,000 = 3.25 Therms per hour

Hours per day pool heater is used
Example: 4 hrs/day (typical for spring and fall)

Daily Operating Cost = ( A x C x D )
Example: $ .80 x 3.25 therms/hr x 4 hrs/day = $10.4

Example: 30 days per month (typical for spring and fall)

Example: $10.4 x 30 days per month = $312.00



* Btu - The "British thermal unit" is the quantity of heat required to raise the temperature of 1lb of water 1 degree F.
